Useful Tips and Tricks
Microwaving Wine. Yes you can. If you've kept your wine (red or white) in the refrigerator and it's too cold, you can always stick it in the microwave for a few seconds to warm it up. Go in increments of 5 or 10 seconds so you don't overdo it. It won't hurt the wine. Just give it a quick stir so the wine is heated evenly.
Ice-cubes in Your WineAgain, you can ABSOLUTELY do this if the wine is too warm and you don't want to stick your wine glass into the refrigerator and wait. Trust me, it won't ruin your wine. A wine that is slightly diluted will taste better than a wine that's too warm. The lesser of 2 evils...
Fastest Way to Chill a Whole BottleIf you don't plan on keeping the label, stick the whole bottle in a bucket of ice water. Heat will transfer through conduction much faster, versus the much-slower convection if you stick it in the refrigerator.
